Here is beautiful Heritage Golden Eagle all ready for the gig. The guitar has a very balance sound and plays like a dream. Golden Eagle necks are stellar! This one has a 1 11/16 neck width. The original floating pickup has been replaced with a Bennedetto delivering that balanced tone, I'm really impressed with it. The fingered tailpiece has been added which makes for even tension across the strings and the end pin output jack has been moved to the conventional position and that hole filled with a maple dowel. It does have a small 1 7/8 inch stretch of binding shrinkage on the backside of the guitar near the strap button which is not uncommon for solid rim guitars of this age
The Golden Eagle is Heritage's top of the line guitar with 5 ply binding on the body and 3 ply one the bound headstock, pick guard, neck and F holes. The Golden Eagle is the L5 of their line up. Remember Heritage was started by Gibson employees. The ebony fretboard with the 5 piece curly maple neck is the most comfortable you'll ever play and the cloud inlays tells you it plays like a dream and this one has no fret wear! . Solid spruce top, Solid maple sides and back , 17” width, 20-1⁄2” length, 3” rim thickness,17° peghead pitch make for greater sustain. The guitar has been played so it does have blemishes, but nothing that interferes with the playability and sound.
