I've been curious about Hofner guitars for some time. Your recent demo of the new J17 Hofner archtops made in China gave me the boost to try one. I purchased the non-cutaway J17. I'm blown away by it! Right out of the box it had that warm Wes Montgomery tone. The action is low like I like and the frets are solid. I have several high end archtops but find myself wanting to play this J17 more and more. I'm sold on Hofners. I can only imagine how nice the German made archtops are. I purchased the Hofner Verythin guitar through Guitar College. Before the made the purchase however, I did go on line to get some reviews. All the reviews were very positive but I was still surprised when the guitar was delivered. It is beautiful in craftsmanship and it plays like a high-end guitar. I want to thank Guitar College for offering the best instruction available and providing the Hofner series though their
